Members and Friends,
As many know, the County has been following the guidelines and timeline of the State of Maryland regarding Covid 19 Recovery Plans. Here is a blurb from County Executive Ball....
ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Today, Governor Hogan announced the reopening of additional non-essential businesses effective Friday, June 5th at 5:00 p.m., including some additional personal services, as Maryland moves into Phase 2 of his Roadmap to Recovery plan. Howard County will be aligning its reopening status with the State of Maryland, as well as his previous orders, which includes allowing indoor faith services as outlined by the Governor’s Executive Order. The Department of Recreation & Parks is reopening restrooms at its parks; however, playgrounds will remain closed. County Executive Calvin Ball will be signing an Executive Order tomorrow to bring Howard County’s reopening status in line with Maryland." This announcement was published 3 Jun 2020. The Executive Order from Dr. Ball and its accompanied announcement regarding Phase 2 of the County's Recovery Plan has yet to be published as of this writing, but is expected anytime.
Also, restrictions are being eased regarding restaurants and their outdoor table service. This, too, can be found on the county's web site. Here is a link for your convenience.
Please stay smart, safe and healthy.
